Richard Arthur Ainsworth, 72, of Waikoloa died Nov. 22 at home. Born in Chicago, he was a management specialist working in developing countries on public health and population planning and management. A portion of his ashes will be scattered in the ocean off the Big Island and a portion interred at Hawaiian Memorial Park on Oahu, where his son, Christopher, is buried. No flowers. Howard Hatsuo Araki, 72, of Waikoloa, formerly of Kailua-Kona, died Nov. 26 at home. Born in Olaa, he was a heavy and light equipment mechanic and U.S. Army and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran. Private services held at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Celebration of life 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Old Kona Airport Park large pavilion. Casual attire; if possible, a dessert to share. Born in Honokaa, she worked at Ross and Budget Car Rental in Kona, was a game attendant at the Hilo Fun Factory and a caregiver and was a member of Laupahoehoe Congregational Church.
